1. What this document covers
This policy describes how FUKUOKA AI PHOTO ("the Service"), operated by AXIOM, handles the photo you provide and the small amount of other information collected when you use the Service. It describes what the Service does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the items listed in section 9 are not settled.
2. The photo you provide
The photo you take or upload is used for one purpose: to create the AI image you asked for. It is not sold, not published, and not used to train any model.
- Your photo is sent to our server and forwarded to the image-generation provider named in section 4, which is what creates your image. It is sent with a flag asking the provider not to retain the request.
- Your photo is never written to our storage. It exists only for the duration of the single generation request, and is discarded when that request ends.
- A copy also stays in the open browser tab while you are using the Service, so you can see it. Closing the tab discards it.
3. Retention
The finished AI image is stored privately so that you can download it. How long depends on whether you bought it:
- Not purchased: 72 hours. After that it is no longer retrievable, whether or not the scheduled clean-up has run yet.
- Purchased: 30 days, so that a download you paid for does not disappear while you are still travelling. It is then deleted.
The photograph you supply is not stored at all, as described in section 2. The provider's own retention applies to the copy it receives for the moment it is processing it; the request is sent asking that it not be retained.
4. Processors we rely on
- Image generation: Google. Your photo and the style instruction are sent to the Gemini image-generation API so that your image can be created. This is the only third party that receives your photo.
- Hosting and storage: Vercel. The Service runs on Vercel, which processes standard request logs, and the finished image is held in Vercel's private blob storage for the periods in section 3.
- Payments: Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own payment page and are handled by Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your card number.
5. Other information we collect
The Service records how it is being used, so we can tell which introductions actually help travellers find it. This is collected by the Service itself — there is no third-party analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no cross-site tracking.
- Which steps were reached (a visit, an upload started, an image finished, a checkout opened, a purchase completed), as counts.
- Your answer to the question we ask before you pay — whether the result looks like you — as a count of each answer. This is your own judgement, recorded so we can tell how often the result is wrong and improve it. It is not face recognition. Nothing measures, compares, or stores anything about your face. Stored with it: which style you chose, the shape of your photograph and the shape we asked for, and the reference number of that generated image, so a result you told us was wrong can be looked at while it still exists. It is deleted with the image.
- Where you arrived from, when a link or QR code says so: a campaign name, a partner or hotel code, where the QR was placed, and which post was followed. Also your chosen language, and the country our hosting platform reports for the request.
- Your language preference and any partner code, stored in your own browser so they survive a page change.
- Your order record, if you make a purchase.
No photograph, no part of one, no name, and no email address is ever included in this. The records are counts and short labels, and they are not used to build a profile of you.
6. Photos of other people, and of children
You may only upload a photo that you have the right to use. Before generating, we ask you to confirm that everyone shown has agreed, and that where a child appears you are their parent or guardian or have the permission of the person responsible for them. If you cannot confirm this, please do not use the Service.
7. Your choices
You can stop at any point before checkout and nothing is charged. A photo you never submit never leaves your device. An image you do not buy is deleted within 72 hours without your having to do anything.
8. Changes
If what the Service does with your photo changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top changes too.
9. Still open
These are not yet settled, and nothing above should be read as deciding them:
- AXIOM's formal particulars: representative, registered address, telephone number, and a contact address for privacy requests.
- How to make an access or deletion request, and how quickly it is answered.
- Obligations under Japan's APPI, and the lawful basis for visitors from the EU or UK.
